I have been working successfully in internet marketing for three years now, and each day I have to admit I get a little better at it. There is never a bad time to begin internet marketing, and it is and has been a lot of fun learning how to make money online. I have to admit I started off slow (one of the disadvantages of being something of a programmer is that you think you know alot when in reality you know very little about making money online), but have begun making leaps and bounds in the last six months.
Why I Chose to Become an Internet Marketing Professional
It would be easy to say I became an internet marketing professional because of the money, but in reality that is only part of it. All my life I have been bound to the “cost” side of whatever company I was working for, mostly as an accountant. I watched as people with no where near the same intelligence or skillset or ability to “do” things made tons more money and received way more respect than I ever did. I felt I was never going to get the respect or income I deserved so long as I continued to live in one of the “cost” centers of the business world. I had to find a way to start working for the “top-line” of the income statement.
What Makes Internet Marketing an Ideal Choice to Create a 2nd Income
I knew with my finances the way they were I simply could not make a career change to sales and marketing. Simply put, no one would hire me without some experience as a salesman. Given that I did not necessarily have any useful engineering knowledge that might make me useful as a technical sales person either, nor did I have any marketable skill to make products of my own to sell, my only real choice then was to learn how to market products online. The beauty of it was that I could learn and work on my own time whenever I had time to devote to my projects. I wouldn’t necessary start earning a living right off, but no one would ever know I was trying to make a living online as a second income either. Anonymity and flexibility really made internet marketing a great choice for a second / part time career.
Learning by Trying, Failing, Repeating
I have begun to make money after several years of trying and failing. I owe much of my success to the mentors I have followed, who have taught me how to tap into my own knowledge and experience and use it to begin earning a living on the web.
